Southwestern Pennsylvania region is one of the

United States for growing businesses. The
Pittsburgh region boasts an excellent
combination of various manufacturing and
service sector companies, along with
outstanding technology centers and
universities.
The iPort initiative is a regional business
development program that promotes business
interaction between India and the Pittsburgh
region. Specifically, the program aims at
attracting investments from Indian companies
planning to set up or increase their presence in
strategies to take advantage of the booming economy in India.
The iPort program has been launched and managed jointly by the Pittsburgh
chapter of The IndUS Entrepreneurs - TiE-Pittsburgh (www.tiepgh.org) and
Pittsburgh Regional Alliance (www.pittsburghregion.org), an affiliate of the
Allegheny Conference on Community Development. The iPort program is
sponsored and generously supported by leading foundations in the Pittsburgh
region.
